TREV
Thanks for the comments, this is my first heli, and my first ever mod, having only had the T-34 for 7 days, so went for something simple.
I've viewed your vids, great work. In-fact they are the main reason I bought the T-34. I can see you support other people trying new things, but as I said I thought I would go for something quick and easy for my first time.
Not to mention that it will also show my fellow newbies that with no tech knowledge, what so ever, and following the lead of others mods can be made quickly and simply to this great heli.
Parts on order for the double tail rotor mod, which will be followed by the weight reduction.
To the other newbies - If me & my 10 thumbs can do these mods start ordering the parts! |

Hello All
Parts ordered for The two tail rotor upgrade with Dragonfly rear blades. Again will keep you posted.
Question for Trev. What's the best method for attaching the second motor to the rear of the frame? I've looked at a couple of ways and your's looks the best way. |

Hi Max, your well on your way to an extremely fast T-34 helicopter,
How to attach the second motor, is a question I am asked frequently.
I will make a video tutorial to show exactly how this is done.

Cheers for doing the videos. However I think there's a problem with them when I try to open them the message "This Video Is Private" appears across the screen. |

The Double Rotor System Tutorials are temporally unavailable,
While I uploading higher resolution video, as they looked a little small after putting them on Youtube.
Also I remove the music from the first video, as think it will better without this.
All three video will be back on in a couple of days.

I watched these videos last night, and I am very tempted to do this mod to both my 3ch heli's.
I'm currently looking for the cheapest place for the tail assembly, so if you have any tips on where to get cheap parts, i'd be most grateful.
Also, why are the tail rotors inverted?
Sorry if you explained it and i missed it. |

Davey
I got all my parts from e-mail, the tail assembly was from a UK based seller and the Dragonfly blade from a US based seller (took 4 days, so really quick.) Total spend was around £15.00.
The rotors need to be invert due to the shape (pitch) of the Dragonfly rotor blades (Trev's idea, as was the complete mod.)
Hope this helps.

I would like to say a BIG "Thank You" to you for coming up with the double tail rotor mod and making clear vids to show the rest of us how it's done.
Completed my upgrade yesterday and fook me it's FAST.
Really pleased with how it turned out and the difference it's made.
The rest of you thinking about doing, Get R Done!

Hi there and thanks for all the useful information!
I read some posts about a battery replacement in this topic, but it is still not clear to me what is important when looking for a replacement battery for the t-34. I’m looking for an extra battery to extend flight time.
First off al I think you have to look for a 7.4V battery, the same as the standard battery. And be aware of the dimensions and weight of the battery.
-Is there a maximum in mAh you can use (besides dimensions and weight) or the higher, the more flight time you have?
-Which C-value (Constant discharge) can be used, don’t know what the C-value of the standard battery is?
This This battery looks fine (if it will fit), high mAh, but has a low C-value?
Or is something like this better?
-And can this batteries be charged by the standard charger that comes with the T-34?
Sorry, I’m a bit lost in the world of batteries. |

Serious about flying helicopters ?you will require 450 or bigger ,I'm a relative novice but it takes about 2 seconds to figure out that most coaxials are just toys .The harsh truth.Just try to fly one ,under control, outdoors. Even with mods , most are hopeless. I'm biased towards the 450 size as they can handle the sometimes windy conditions in my location .sorry to bust your bubble . |

Hi Lightning,
Your opinion on what others should Fly is only your opinion,
You say someone cannot be serious about helicopter because they fly a coaxial is ridicules.
There are many reasons why people fly coaxial cost is a major factor, confident building also an introduction to this hobby.
As proven with the modifications to the T-34 outside flying is not only possible, but most importantly they are fun to fly.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
Thank you Max for the recognition on the Double Rotor System, please check out the double tilting blades for even faster turns.
wouter_15 you could use other batters on the T-34 but with the risk of frying the receiver.
I would suggest buying extra standard batters, charge them all before flying, change them regularly, say after 5 minutes of flight, the more battery the more flying time.
