|
|
Has anyone tried using a smaller blade on the Voliation 9053 R/C helicopter? I had one that got destroyed (leaving me with a ton of spare parts & a couple of new batteries), the first time I took it outside....before I could say " holy sh*t" it was 100 feet in the air & drifting away like a kite. I got it down some how....(it was not windy) and had to reconsider my options. I have another one ordered & thought about putting a smaller blade on it to reduce the lift. |

hi donzter
to be painfully honest the volitation is a poor quality heli and you would be better off to cancel your order and buy some thing better. it wont matter what size blades you put on it will still be rubbish. |

Not sure what this means or to whom you refer Skyking.
This is a co-axial heli here, they do not have autorotation capability.
However, apart from that, are you trying to say:-
"I think these guys are trying to sell you a rc heli that auto rotates.."
or
"I think these guys are trying say you have an rc heli that auto rotates.."
Just who are "These guys" to whom you refer? And what's this autorotation business?
Tom. |

To a degree I agree Chopper, but the fact that I have extra batteries & a carcass to junk off of...carries some weight. I am not ready for a $500 helicopter yet....(i do have the $...but would be rather wasteful to buy one & wreck it because I am stupid) I have money I have not spent yet. So I'll give it another go for 5o bucks. |

Although I had my big Lama out last nite, little wind & I have 2 acres on Lake Ontario to play on. Good thing I do because it would get away from me at times but I have enough room to get it to behave. |

Hi donzter,
Hope you enjoy your Big Lama now.
I have two Big Lama (red/green) and have full set of spare parts (except
servo). I like them and have fun flying in light breez.
I changed the receivers to match my common fleet Tx (FlySky FS-TH9X 2.4GHz).

Negative Skyking .... they and I second also - he needs a helicopter that can be actually controlled better .... the "supermarket" end of the model world is terrible and models do NOT do what is said on the box. It has absolutely nothing to do with auto-rotate.
I agree that best is to cancel the order and invest in a more serious model helicopter. |

Sorry but NO single rotor heli flies like a Co-Ax .... there is no such thing as a SQASH plate ...
Forgive me for this - but it makes no sense at all ... |

For $50 - you could get a barebones 450 proper heli ... add another $50 for motor / gyro / servos / canopy and it's ready for radio Tx / Rx ...
You can get a full RTF 450 for less than $200 ........... You can get Co-Ax's that will actual;ly fly as YOU command for under $100 ... my Syma S006 was $40 total out of box RTF ... OK it's not an outdoor machine ... in fact 99.9% of Co-Ax are not outdoor flyers ....
Honest opinion .... don't waste money on another same 9053 ... even if you do have the old as spare parts ... It's worth considering this :
Crashes tend to break / damage similar parts each time. So in buying a second 9053 ... you will most likely end up with another same non-flying machine with similar parts reqired to get it going again ... where is the benefit of the spares now ?
Go get a 4ch Co-Ax as absolute minimum .... forget anything that's 3.5 ch ... 3 ch .... 2 ch etc. |
