Hi,

I know HiTec is really doing a lot of ads on their aurora telemetry system but I've just heard that Spektrum has their own telemetry. I think it's the DX9.. Anyone know about it? Thanks.

The DX8 has telemetry.......It works quite well and comes with the DX8. A separate module is installed in the aircraft and many different items can be monitored. For example, battery voltage, engine RPM, engine temperature, receiver pack voltage, etc. Warnings can be set up in the TX so you are warned when limits exceed your desired amounts.

The DX 8 comes with the module, so nothing else to buy. I do agree it would be difficult to put a AR8000 receiver with it's satellite receiver and the telemetry module in a 250 size heli but believe me it will fit fine in a 450 size or larger. Will even work in a Blade 400. I'm not arguing the good or bad of Hitec's system but I do know the DX8 is a great TX.

Thanks everyone for the reply.

I think it's great that spektrum has telemetry avaliable because eflite helis can bind with Spektrum. I think they (eflite helis) will soon be able to send data back to the transmiter as well.

Wonder if they have voice feedback though, I know HiTec aurora has one but you have to buy an add-on for that.
