Hi,

I received a 3-channel Yiboo Mini Air Wolf copter from my wife for Christmas. It has been a great introduction to the hobby, and I plan to upgrade at some point.

After about 50 flights, with recommended battery management, the battery in the copter seems to be losing its ability to hold a charge.

The instructions say that the VJ417-17 3.7 Li-Po battery is replaceable, but I can't figure out how to access the copter's battery; there isn't an obvious access panel.

Does anyone have the Mini Air Wolf, or UJToys.com #417, which is the same type? If so, do you know how to replace the battery?

Thanks,
Bill

hi BSquared18
can you even get a battery. might be easier to just get another heli. if you enjoy the hobby get a decent model with 4 channels. even more fun and will last longer and spares can be bought for when you crash.

Hi BSquared18,

Chopper has it dead right there. These toys are not built to last, just a throwaway impulse sell. Coan't go wrong with a decent 4 channel. Look to E-flite or Walkera first then E-sky.

Tom.

Hi Bill, Welcome to the group & hobby/addiction.
Those "Mall heli's" aren't worth fixing. If there is a local hobby shop (LHS) near by you (if you fill in your location in your profile maybe somebody here can help more) stop in and see what they have to offer. Chances are they will have E-Flite Blade helis Wink I'd recommend getting a Blade MCX2 to start, then a MSR, then SR120, then a Align T-Rex450 Sport, then... Well, by then the wife is gonna shread your credit card, so your on your on then Wink

Thanks everyone. Looks like it's time to upgrade.

Still interested in replacing the battery in this little guy if possible.

By the way, anyone else have problems not receiving email notification when someone responds to your post? I have my email address in my profile and have checked the "Notify me" box.

Hi,

I just checked the internal mailer and it seems to be working ok. Did you check your junk box?

Please let me know if you have further problems.

Thank you.

silhouette015,

I'm still not receiving notifications. Not sure why, but in the past Comcast has blocked emails from some sites, for reasons that are not readily apparent. And the process to unblock the sites is a bit of a hassle; some hoops that you guys would have to go through.

If we can't get it to work, I'll just have to make a habit of checking the site from time to time.

Bill
