Last weekend I did some repairs on my main rotors and the winds were calm perfect for some pratice flight inthe backyard.
it turned out good.
I mange how to hover and 360 turns and stopping before a crash and save my copter. pratice landing was even better.
Hovering >4min
flight>3min
my advice if the winds are even a little too breezey don't fly
some rotor blades can be saved
cracked blade can be fixed with with super glue
maybe chipped blades might be fixed with epoxy. |

Sounds good Skyking, when are we going to see a video of this machine moving left and right, like you said it could, without going forwards?

I am a little reserved about repairing any rotor blades ... main or tail.
Given the speeds and energy that is in a blade when run up - if that repaired blade lets go - it can do some serious damage or injury. It is impossible to see all damage inside a blade and at best you will only surface repair a blade ..... not a good idea IMHO. |

hi shawn
try moving the battery forward in the tray. you need to move your c/g towards the front so the heli is balanced. |

thanks but i did that already and it didnt work so i added weight to the front and ihave another ? y is it that my 36 inch skyking 3ch rc helicopter hard to get it to stay at a steady point most of the time it will suddenly climb on its own and i decrease throttle and it drops to ground level and then its surges back up agin i know im new to rc helicopters but i think somethings wrong whit mine ive even let it hover at 4 foot and it will suddenly climb on its own what do i do? |

Hi Shawn,
You don't say where you are flying, but ANY air movement will upset a hovering heli. Unless you are in a very big hall the helis own rotor wash will stir up the air enough to give the effects you describe.
If you are outside then a movement of air that you can barely feel will cause transitional lift and the heli will climb. You reduce throttle to stop the climb - the air stills and the heli drops as it loses transitional lift. There is nothing, other that learning how to cope with this that you can do.
Flying an RC heli is not easy, it takes years of dedicated pratice.
